Overview of the Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Platform
Supporting nurses has been at the heart of our work at Johnson & Johnson for over 120 years, from employment to recruitment, skills and leadership development, strengthening resiliency, and now nurse-led innovation.
“We believe that nurses are the backbone of healthcare systems around the world and are uniquely positioned to change human health. We believe nurses deserve a much stronger voice and presence in today’s healthcare conversations. Our goal for the Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Platform is to help strengthen and develop innovation, entrepreneurial and leadership skills, and advance nurse-led innovation in healthcare for nurses at every stage of their careers,” said Lynda Benton, Senior Director of Corporate Equity at Johnson & Johnson, who leads the Johnson & Johnson commitment to nurses.
The Johnson & Johnson Nurses Innovation Platform is comprised of three, interrelated programs:
Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Fellowship
The overall purpose of the Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Fellowship is to strengthen the leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills of inventive, inspired nurses to help elevate, amplify, and integrate nurse-led innovation in human health.
During this inaugural two-year program, Fellows will participate in courses and sessions, both online and in-person, and complete action learning projects in nurse-led innovation, while receiving the support of mentors and the rest of their cohort. Fellows also have the opportunity to participate in other Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Platform programs; they may serve as mentors for the Johnson & Johnson Nurses Innovate QuickFire Challenge participants and contribute to the Innovation Bootcamp Podcast series.
Nurses may apply to the Fellowship if they have at least three years of experience as an RN; are current citizens or permanent residents of the United States or its territories; and currently do not receive support from other research fellowships/traineeships. Johnson & Johnson embraces diversity of every dimension and welcomes applications from any interested nurses who meet eligibility requirements.
